Volunteers: The Backbone of Meals on Wheels
Our large volunteer base is comprised of a diverse group of fabulous people. Retirees, corporate sponsors such as HUB International, actors, writers, musicians, UCLA students, middle school and high school students and caring individuals from the community stop by regularly to volunteer. Elementary school students create colorful placemats which we deliver to our clients on holidays. In addition, we also have a number of volunteers with special needs. Our special needs helpers along with their aids or counselors find meaningful community service, delivering meals for us.
Organizations such as Diverse Journey and the FACT/GAP program as well as other individuals associated with the Westside Regional Center help daily. We are so grateful to have them a part of our team. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive organization that welcomes all volunteers. Please contact us if you wish to be part of our volunteer community.
